Click Digital

Can anyone provide me with reviews on digital cameras?
I am looking to buy a point and click digital camera for my sister for christmas. She wants something that is thin but is good for basic shots as well as the occasional video. My price range is somewhere under 200 dollars but for something exceptional, I’m willing to go above that. As a recap, my three biggest requirements are: thinness, low price, ease of use.
I would like a review of at least three different cameras.
My daughter is getting one from amazon. I’ll link that one, as well as similar ones

It’s a very cool looking little camera. The wifi is very limited. I’m a bit upset at kodak for this. They want to trap you into spending more money so they make it so you can’t independently access any of the wifi features. You have to sign up with T-mobile to use their hotspots, you have to upload the cameras through kodak, you can’t just send them to your computer, they MAKE you use their software, not cool. When you email pictures, you actually mail a link to your gallery through kodak, you can’t just mail the pictures. The interface is a good idea, but very hard to operate. The buttons you have to touch with the stylus are SO SO SO small, you frequently miss the right button, it feels as if this is an unfinished idea, but none of this stopped me from buying the camera, hopefully they upgrade the firmware, but for now, only buy it if you want to put in some work.

This is my third – and possibly final – digital camera. It does everything superbly and in a size I can just throw in my pocket so it’s always there. Before the SD600 I had a Canon S100 2.1 mp [a great camera] and a Sony DSC-W1 5.1 mp [a piece of $%#@ - every other image blurry].
With the Sony less than a year old, I couldn’t put up with it anymore – it was time to go back to Canon so I wouldn’t miss any future shots. I got the SD600 at Best Buy 1 day before leaving on a week-long trip to Boston. My 10-yr old daughter was studying the Revolutionary War in school so I was told to take a lot of photos and “Dad, make sure they aren’t blurry like all those others.” [She's got the old S100, so she's not worried].
Since I’d already had the old S100, the controls were familiar. Best Buy had a 1GB PNY SD chip on sale for $39, so I had room for over 500 photos, plus I picked up an extra battery.
In the week in Boston I shot day, night, flash, long exposure, high light, low light, drizzle, rain, sun, and even a short video of Morris dancers in Boston Common. Every shot was great – and not one blurry, even when the ’shaking hand’ was on. I’m not sue that the image stabilization with the SD700 would be all that necessary.
I found that indoors [my greatest fear since the Sony made

Click Dip-Switch Watch $149.99 We spent numerous hours of the 1980s in our local arcades, pumping quarters into our favorite machines. These days, if we want to relive our childhoods, we have to go to PAX (or PAX East) to hang in the classic arcade room. Unfortunately, turning a room of our house into a dank, sticky-floored, blinky-lighted sanctum of gaming is out of the question for both reasons of money and housemate relations. The Click Dip Switch Watch allows us to embrace the glory days of arcade gaming and have it embrace us… on the wrist. The dip switch was used in arcade games to store settings back in the days before RAM. We love the ingenious way dip switches are used to show the functions of this digital watch. Each dip switch activates a different function of the watch, from bar graph metered time display, 12 hour and 24 hour digital time display, month, date, day of week, and backlight. The strap even looks like electronic ribbon and it comes packaged in an actual circuit board. Product Specifications Dip switches show the functions of this digital watch Each switch activates a different function: Bar graph metered time display 12 hour and 24 hour digital time display Month, date, day of week display Backlight Strap looks like electronic ribbon Comes packaged in an actual circuit board Battery: CR2032 (included, replace when lights look dim) |

How to Click with People $3.99 The Secret to Building Better Relationships in Business and in Life With some people, you just click. The connection is quick and easy. Communication flows. You can tell them anything and they know just what you mean. When you connect in this way, you feel understood and accepted for who you really are. You "get" these people and they get you. We think of this connection as an instantaneous thing, something that either happens or doesn’t. Not so, says author Dr. Rick Kirschner. This connection isn’t a magical phenomenon; it’s a communication skill that can be learned with specific steps and techniques. Based on the author’s three decades of experience as an interpersonal communication expert, How to Click with People will show you how to: Recognize and respond effectively to the four basic communication styles everyone uses; Speak the same language as the person you’re talking to, whether emotional or intellectual; Connect in a digital age ruled by e-mail and social media; Master the 7 Signals that will make you—and your ideas—click with others; Troubleshoot the nine obstacles that could be in your way and learn how to avoid or overcome them. In the end, Kirschner argues that these skills are crucial because success has less to do with professional knowledge than with "the ability to express ideas, to assume leadership, and to arouse enthusiasm among people." In this How to Win Friends and Influence People for the twenty-first century, he gives readers the advice and insights they need to strengthen their relationships and take charge of their future. |
Should You Go Digital?
Digital photography not only means getting photographs immediately, but also sharing them easily and inexpensively with a vast network of people. However, to the traditionalist digital photography means cheapening the time-honored art of photography. What are the pros and cons of digital photography, and how do traditional and digital photography differ?
How the image is captured is the difference between digital and traditional photography. Digital photography cameras act more like computers than traditional cameras. They utilize thousands (or millions) of small squares called pixels to create an image, rather than an image being processed onto a piece of film. Each pixel stores information about the contents of that particular pixel, such as color, brightness and contrast.
Most digital photography cameras have an LCD screen on the back where the photographer can see the picture immediately. This is the biggest plus of digital photography because you are able to see the photo immediately. It also eliminates film and developing costs because you can download the photo to either a computer or a digital picture printer.
Resolution is the biggest drawback to using digital photography rather than traditional photography. Traditional has a higher resolution than digital. However, for many laypeople it isn’t an issue. The resolution for digital photography can be high enough to satisfy all but perhaps print-layout needs.
“Point and click” digital photography can also create a lack of creative control. Having light, contrast, and focus decided for them might be great for amateurs, but for professionals, it can be frustrating. However, professionals don’t have to settle for “point and click” photography, since many different types of digital photography cameras are offered.
For ease of use, lower cost, and better storage options, digital photo-graphy is the way to go. In the end, it depends on what you want from a camera.
