Will it be a new Canon EOS camera coming out soon?
Just wondering the 550D came out a few months ago but will have a new camera EOS series? As the 60D or something? Thanks!
There are two highly anticipated cameras people are looking at this point in the high-end and midrange, as well the expected replacement or interruption of the Rebel XS / EOS 1000D. The largest and most expensive of these new models is expected is the 1Ds Mark IV. This would be a new model more advanced to replace the three year old 1Ds Mark III. General 1Ds bodies hit the market six to nine months after release so this 1D camera is almost up. This is expected to be announced at any time. If you are a professional commitment, or just have about $ 8000 burning a hole in your pocket, it can be your next camera. The EOS 60D is another highly anticipated model. Images of the surface on the web last week and is expected to replace the 50D, now two years age. CanonRumors.com reported this camera can give to the previous XXD series cameras and move towards being a bit cheaper class of camera is line with the current D90 and D5000. Specifically, it says that this new model can be slightly smaller than the current 50D has articulated rear LCD screen on the back. The 7D is the beginning of a new Canon Camera class and believe that one of their professional models like the 5D and 1D before it. Successive models of the pro cameras have always maintained the same number, you just get a new "brand" number (eg, 1D, 1D Mark II, 1D Mark III, 1D Mark IV). Canon consumer products to the contrary, have always had successive model numbers. As a result, we have moved from the original Digital Rebel (EOS 300D) to the current T2i Rebel (EOS 550D) and EOS 10D to the 50D today. There is no evidence that Canon has changed or deviated from this sequence of names. That said, i agree that there is no way of knowing if / when they will until it happens.

Canon EOS 7D DigitalRev Hands-On Review
The Canon EOS 7D may have been released for a while and stood firmly in the professional market for APS-C and had a strong odor like a murderer Nikon D300S. Let's look at the own camera to get a better idea why the Canon EOS 7D has been a part of every success since it released.
Building
The Canon EOS 7D comes with a magnesium alloy body that is similar to that of the Canon 5D Mark II offers the robustness that can be expected of a professional-level digital SLR. Strong outside, the view 100% of the pentaprism viewfinder says that the construction quality is filtered across the road. The display also shows more intelligent on the shot than any previous DSLR. The Canon 7D expected in less than 820g and measures 148.2 (W) x 110.7 (H) x 73.5mm (D) in dimensions.
What if is not as hard as a series? It is compact, portable and rugged enough to take anywhere!
Design
The traditional design of Canon EOS is clearly contrasted with the Canon EOS 7D. There are some additional buttons on the camera and some changes in the existing buttons to provide better access to functions, but someone in general, used to shoot any of the EOS 7D digital SLR is the very simple. The 3-inch (920K dots) is really rapidly becoming a standard for new digital SLR, so no surprise there. One of the things that stand out with the Canon 7D is that the number of digits EOS only one to have a flash. This clearly defines the Canon EOS 7D as a professional camera body also provides the semi-professional and amateur.
It looks and feels smart enough that even a novice knows that this camera is loaded with features.
Ease of use
With the rapid introduction of [Q] button and menu key M-function, access to different functions of the camera has become much more easy. The good thing too, because with the additional features thrown, you may find yourself going through the menu once more. The upside? Once conversant with different functions, change the settings should be a breeze. You will also find that the inclusion of auto and AC makes this camera easy to use if you need loans to friends or family (shakes head furiously!). Having direct access to live video and the fire button and switch did everything to devote much more orderly way.
Nice touches everything but taking into account the many features of this baby to be expected, to take a while before you start to really appreciate the controls.
Performance
Where to start? There are many improvements in this camera we must abstain from giving a dissertation on this camera. First, speed. It's quick to 8 fps without battery clips to give you the extra boost. Has a dual "DIGIC 4" to ensure that the process continues until what you throw his way and, of course, you get HD for almost 30 minutes of footage. Well, it's only 29mins 59secs to be exact, but that is a world apart from the mere 5 minutes from the Nikon D300S disappointing.
The performance will not end there … layer with a new 63-zone metering Dual sensor and a new 19-point cross-type AF focusing system, the Canon EOS 7D is to take things to higher levels. From our testing, we found everything very sensitive and found no problems. We can only hope that Canon has it absolutely right this time so you do not have to hear about possible future problems AF.
Canon has worked hard for things like performance as much as could in the body of the 7D. We liked what Canon did and are ready to prove it with maximum score!
Innovation
There are times when all you are getting is more of the same … perhaps more megapixels a faster burst speed … well, things are on the march, but not always, or help you get excited much. Now if one of those photographers who need to make sure your camera is level, either on a tripod in hand, the 2-axis electronic level function is god sent. When activated on the LCD screen, the plane Combat HUD type display makes this tedious job much more exciting. From now on, you know exactly if your camera is not level or a hassle and a lot less.
Another feature that would like to mention here is the Speedlite Transmitter Integrated System. Maybe not for the first time in all digital SLR like level function, but it certainly remains a first for the EOS. Allowing you to remotely control most Speedlites, this is definitely an especially useful feature for those situation where you find yourself needing to remove the external flash for alternative placement to ensure that decision perfect.
Other improvements are, of course, the new approach and measurement systems mentioned earlier in this article.Maybe not useful for everyone, but congratulations Canon to actually make the Canon EOS 7D digital SLR probably the best APS-C size sensor on the market.
Image Quality
Any camera can look good on paper, but the real factor of what makes a great camera at the end of the day is the quality of the image. With a new 18-megapixel sensor APS-C, delivered a camera that produces high-resolution images in fine detail. During our photo shoot, we shot both with a Canon EOS 7D and Canon 5D Mark II and the results are largely in hand. While the 5D Mark II delivers a better handling of noise and a better depth of field because of its sensor, which may depend on major improvements in the 50D. This advantage over the 50D is significant, given that we are seeing more resolution on the 7D with the same sensor size.
For a more controlled test by different ISO settings, we took the 7D and lifted with a focal length of 135 mm, f/11 Aperture Priority, white balance at 6000K and the focus point (center). The Canon 7D offers brilliant picture quality and is easily the best APS-C digital SLR the Canon EOS range. Comparable to 5D Mark II, can not ask more out of the 1-series.
Our Conclusion:
You can forget how much better the Canon EOS 7D is compared to its competitors. In fact, once you have in your hands, you can forget everything but how good this camera is and how much you can do. Perfect for those demand more and shoot sports, action or on the street, where responsiveness and speed are essential. There will be plenty of photojournalist get it without doubt. Be careful if you are going to try, you may not want to let go.
