How do I clean a rusty vintage camera?

Recently won a Speed Graphic Graflex 4×5 camera on eBay, its very dirty oxide in the leather handle the rangefinder is pretty rough leather is too sticky. I want to use, but id first like to clean without damaging anyone know the best and safest way to clean?

Hello! Dino, I work at a camera store, and use a lot Windex to clean surfaces plastic or glass. There is also a product called Goo Gone that we used to get glue off, and also use Simichrome to clean metal surfaces – is so cyclists use to clean the chrome parts of the pigs! For leather Armor All surfaces I would recommend for really bad spots and is a product called Goof Off it works very well. Be sure not to use Goof Off on the plastic as it melts. I would also like to test any cleaner on a small portion within the first chamber to ensure it causes no damage. In addition, cotton balls and q tips are your friends! Hope this helps a little!
