I changed my Nikon D300 w / Grip Bat for a Nikon D2Xs is a smart trade?
I have had the Nikon D300 w / Battery Grip and I loved it, I wanted to try a Nikon D2Xs so I found someone on craigslist to trade and I have. Now I have a Nikon D2Xs in perfect condition. Was it good business? I put a higher value Resale of what would be a Nikon D300. What are your thoughts?
I agree with Fhotoace, I have rented one first D2Xs. Now this is all bad news that seems to ignore: Somewhere a man is laughing at you and wondering why in the world who were willing to make this trade. The D2Xs was body last professional Nikon camera that uses a CCD sensor. Nikon move to CMOS chips led to a huge increase in high ISO performance for their cameras crop body. The D300 is the camera, first to get the new sensor is now in the D90 and D5000. In short, the D300 offers actually a better quality image Above ISO 400 and a sensitivity range much wider than the D2Xs. The D2Xs "could" provide better sealing time, but that is debatable. Your D300, with its handle battery is capable of firing as fast as the D2Xs without cutting the picture to get there. The D300 also has a higher resolution and greater capacity for LCD with Live View. The D300 offers a superior autofocus system 51-point capable of tracking subjects by the foreground color to 11-points in the D2Xs. In many ways, the D300 offers almost all the progress of the D3 into a lighter, smaller, cheaper package. The most significant feature of the D300 offers up to D3 is full frame sensor. I this was a bad operation of the beholder anyway. D2Xs are selling for the same price as new D300s, but I think that's only because the buying and selling in the chamber are not photographers, people who buy the equipment only for show and say they have professional team. Trade in a digital SLR for the resale value is like PCs commercial resale value … He is constantly dropping like a rock and never a good investment unless specifically need it as a tool to do their job.
