Which is a better macro focus range, 3 cm or 10 cm?
I’m looking in to buying either a canon or a nikon. The canon has a macro focus range of 3 cm and the nikon has a macro focus range of 10 cm. Which is better?
depends…what’s the maximum focal length of the lens? assuming the focal length of both marco lenses are the same, i’d go for the canon. with the 3 cm minimum focusing distance, you get better magnification, and you could always back off to 10 cm if you find it too close.
