How does my oven work?

I just bought a used oven from a reputable store, so I assume it most likely DOES work, but the dials are all faded and I can’t figure out how to make it heat up to the temp that it needs to be at. It is an old Whirlpool oven. It heats, but I’ve been cooking a pizza in there at 425 for almost 2 hours and it is not done yet, so something is not right. For the oven it has “OVEN TEMP” and “SELECTOR”, the oven temp one, I can read, and have set to the temp I want, but the selector one is all faded so I cannot tell what all of them say. I have it set on “BAKE” and there are the various settings of broil and something that looks like it says “ph only” and another one that is just “S”. Also the oven light doesn’t appear to come on unless I turn on the timer, and I don’t know if it won’t heat otherwise or what, but if anyone out there has possibly had a similar stove at some point and might know what it is doing, and could help me out it would be greatly appreciated.

sounds like you got screwed i would get another stove. shouldn’t even be close too 2 hours to bake a pizza
