What kind of equipment is needed to get an old set of studio lights to work with my Nikon D40x?

My mom's boyfriend recently (and very generous) gave me a series of monolithic Bogen 200B and am having trouble figuring out how to make them work with my Nikon D40x digital SLR camera – if even! Does anyone have any suggestions on what to do or where to go to find out?

Unless you are positive that the lights will not start again more than 6 volts NOT connect a sync cable on the camera or on your shoe, you could fry your electrical system general.
